Regular sterling silver wire is 92.5% silver, and 7.5% copper. While the copper makes the wire maleable, it causes the silver to tarnish.
This sterling silver wire is 92.5% silver, but instead of copper, GERMANIUM is used. Germanium does not tarnish, and neither will this wire.
